Medieval History & Urdu-Language Consultant

I was consulted by Ather Farouqui for my historical and linguistic expertise for his translation of Mirza Ahmad Akhtar Gorgani’s Sawaneh-i Dehli and he graciously acknowledged my contribution in the published work (Roli Books, 2023) in these words:

After completing the translation ... I thought it would be good to have the expertise of a medieval Indian historian on board. Ms Riya Gupta, a research scholar at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), agreed to come to my aid. After looking over the translation, she suggested several amendments, which I followed.
